Imagine how different building sites of the future would look when compared to the sites of today. The construction industry is evolving all the time as technology hurtles towards an exciting crescendo, and here at Bobtrade, that makes us very excited!

Yesterday's science-fiction pipe dreams are literally becoming a reality, thanks to the scientists and geniuses imagining and creating innovative technology

"The Guardian is all about making construction sites safer"

Enter: The ginormous Guardian GT. Sporting two seven-foot arms, and with the ability to bench press 1,000 Lbs of radioactive waste, this robotic genius is the latest creation of technology company Sarcos. The Guardian is all about making construction sites safer by safeguarding humans from hazardous environments and tasks.

"We can work together with technology as a unit as opposed to one taking over the other"

The Guardian GT looks like the kind of construction companion you wouldn't want to be left alone on a building site with- but its dexterity is what’ll leave you trusting this robot with your entire business plan!

But don’t worry, the GT does require a human to get it going and it hasn’t got its own mind so won’t be taking over the world any time soon. The way our construction guardian works is nothing short of brilliant. It’s robot arms are guided and controlled by two sensitive controllers which follow the person operating the machine motions precisely.

You’ll want to get a closer look at the action when operating this giant, and you can do that easily via a headset which is linked to a video feed from the camera fitted on the top of the GT.

"This tool is collaborative"

You’ll be watching in amazement as each robot arm effortlessly picks up 500 Ibs and moves it to exactly where it needs to be.

The terrific thing about the Guardian GT is that it can help in so many different ways. Everything from basic-labor tasks, to the more intricate jobs like joining and welding. It can repair and exchange equipment and even provides support in the unfortunate event there is a disaster. Believe it or not, this robotic genius can erect temporary shelters in the case of an emergency and even assists with medical evacuations.

Anyone first hearing about the GT may have thought it was a tool to use instead of humans, but it’s not, and that's something to celebrate. This tool is collaborative- a human is always in control! This piece of technology is an example of how we can work together with technology as a unit as opposed to one taking over the other.
