It’s been a big year for Bobtrade and for the construction industry as a whole. We’ve shed a light on some of the best new construction materials, game changing skyscraper proposals and given you the opportunity to see the history of some brilliant machines. In this article we wanted to give you the lowdown on some of our absolute favourites.
This is a collection of some of Bobtrade’s favourite robots.
Equipped with seven-foot arms and the ability to bench press 1,000 Lbs of radioactive waste, this robotic genius is the latest creation of technology company Sarcos. The Guardian is all about making construction sites safer by safeguarding humans from hazardous environments and tasks.
"The Guardian GT can safeguard labourers on site."
The Guardian GT can perform basic-labor tasks as well as more intricate jobs like joining and welding. It can repair equipment and even provide support in disaster zones. Believe it or not, this robotic genius can erect temporary shelters in the case of an emergency and even assists with medical evacuations.

Next we have this beauty of a bricklayer, the Robi One.
Robi One from MBA can download drawings and accurately position components for nailing or stapling. Which is pretty clever. The time saving capabilities of this function are immense. Launched at the Offsite Construction Show in London back in October 2017 this completely automated production line will glue and apply brick slip to prefabricated elements.
TyBot is a construction technology innovation from Advanced Construction Robotics. This machine ties rebar so you don’t have to!
Rebar tying is a monotonous task with some really surprising health hazards. The repetitive nature of this task has been known to cause irreparable damage to hands and arms including carpal tunnel syndrome.
Once set up the TyBot is able to work automatically and autonomously, identifying and tying intersections on its own.
